The Chamonix Hospital, rebuilt in 1994, is specially dedicated to receiving and treating mountain traumatic and medical pathologies. Its surgical specification is bone surgery. Its favorable location allows scientific research and various epidemiological studies to be performed.
The
DMTM is a non profit-making organisation. It brings different
medical specialists together, whose common interests are research,
evaluation, prevention and information in mountain traumatology and
medicine. All the mountain rescue doctors and the surgical team from
Chamonix hospital can be found there.
Our funds come from subscriptions, donations, and sponsorships for scientific research by pharmaceutical companies.
The organisation is located in the Chamonix hospital, at the foot of Mont-Blanc, in the heart of the French Alps.
